Rico Engineering Capabilities
RICO engineers utilize the very best tools, techniques and training to deliver exactly what you need: safety, reliability and high performance.
Codes and Standards
Numerous codes and standards govern safety requirements for industrial trucks and material handling equipment. RICO engineers believe knowledge of these standards is essential to building the safest and most reliable equipment. That’s why every RICO engineer, designer and quality assurance technician is thoroughly trained in and intimately familiar with these standards.
We even voluntarily conform to non-government mandated standards when we believe this will produce a safer product for our customers.
Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Simulation
Our team uses powerful structural simulation tools to solve complex design challenges and optimize existing designs. We have the capabilities to quickly analyze static structural loading, linear stress, dynamic loading, vibration, frequency, thermal and fatigue.
First Article Inspection
RICO can facilitate first article inspection at our facilities to meet customer requirements. We can quickly produce in-depth First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) via Inspection XPERT® software. If any portion(s) of inspection is outside our on-site capabilities, we can arrange for testing to be conducted by a third party.
Drafting, Dimensioning, and Tolerancing
A flawless design is useless unless the parameters and requirements can be clearly delineated to manufacturing. That’s why RICO takes the utmost pride in the quality of our engineering drawings.
All our mechanical engineers, designers and drafters are trained and highly competent in the ASME Y14 series of standards. We use the language of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GDT) to precisely communicate our design intent. We also have engineers familiar with ISO standards enabling us to work with an international market.
